When I moved to Nashville in 2014, my family had a choice of moving to Chicago. I nixed the idea because there was always too much snow, cold and never enough snow days for teachers...
Stupid me :)
So I was getting ready to plan the next swap in Nashville in January and just like last year, Nashville got slammed with 8 inches of snow. For you Northerners, that's not that serious, but for us Southerners, we simply can't drive in that. We're not used to it. Therefore, I couldn't drive to locations to secure them for our next swap here in Nashville.
So February rolls around and I make time to go to East Park and get the venue for our next swap. The day I was supposed to go...more snow.
Finally last week, snow had melted but schools were still closed for lingering ice, I drove to East Park and got the venue. Because of my delays, I had to settle on an April date, but that's cool. I'm excited for our next event on April 2. Watch our Facebook and Twitter for updates!
The April date also works out for our Oakland swaps, since Sarah has been super busy with family, traveling, and getting a new house (hopefully). More info on that date and location will come in March.
One thing that was done during all this snow was creating the paperwork for Sassy Family's non-profit status. Look like in mid-March, we'll be able to incorporate and get our tax ID. That is one step closer to being a non-profit.
Big things are happening...barring any more snow :)
